When FFRE joins forces, we are powerful!
Through coalition action with Trout Unlimited, the North Branford Land Trust, professional restorers and volunteer contractors and The Town of North Branford we removed over 20 tons of invasive water chestnut seven miles upriver. Invasive nasty chestnut is choking the life out of a gorgeous pond and our River.
For two decades we have removed tons of plastic filled garbage from the river and its marshes. Join us in for river cleanups!
Seven years of sampling and monitoring the salty reaches of the Farm River reveals that it is gasping for breath. That’s why we are focused on restoring flow and marshes there. Join the monitoring team!
